Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s Squad Rush Mode Opened to Masses

Sorry, everyone who pre-ordered Battlefield: Bad Company 2 before its release last month: you’re now just a little bit less special. DICE has opened up Squad Rush mode — previously restricted as a pre-order bonus — to the public at large on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (via Joystiq).
Squad Rush mode is very much what it sounds like — it’s basically Rush mode, but focused to one four-member squad against another. Matches begin centered around one M-COM station, with one team attacking and one defending. If the attacking team captures it, a new area of the map opens up with a second objective to capture.
The mode has been available for everyone since day one on the PC, but this now opens up yet another way for all 360 and PS3 players to enjoy Bad Company 2. And for those who did pre-order, you now get the opportunity to improve the quality of your character by learning how to appreciate lesser mortals.
